Zero pets

marius

marius has 2 cats:

Puck - 5 yr old male, part Maine Coon, thinks he is a "cute model"
A female - 12 yr old. She has lots of names. My husband calls her Miss Kittypants. That's because she thinks she "wears the pants" in the family. She is very bossy. She tries to push us off the couch so she can sit in our warmed up places.

Now, if plants counted in this poll ... my list would be longer. Yes, Goldie, to some of us, indoor plants are considered "easy pets." You do have to feed and water them, but they never shed fur, me-ow or bark to wake you up, and you never have to take them to the doctor. They also seem to respond to love but I can't prove it. ; )

Dear Goldie,
Since I'm the only petless TDer, I would like to ask you a question. I once heard.... no twice heard; "A PERSON WHO DOESN'T DRINK WINE CAN'T BE TRUSTED". Do you agree?
So.... a petless person.... could he/she be trusted?
THANKS FOR YOUR OPINIONS.

Yes, Polenta. You can be trusted even if you don't have any pets. For the wine thing, idk. (I am only 9) Well, now if anyone wants to post a riddle, poll or question, feel free!

I am also a petless person polenta. I couldn't have you claiming the title for yourself now could I? And I am definitely not to be trusted - on the other hand I do drink wine! Doh!

Well, if there are 'petless' people, I suppose I compensate by being 'petful' lol. I currently have 5 pets and I've stayed in the D category (4+) for many years now. 4 dogs and one turtle. Used to have lots of hamsters some years ago, I miss them now.

Goldie, currently, I have two male cats, Freddie, and Granger. They are rescue cats, so one has taken along time (two yrs) to even let us touch him. He is now very loving, but every once in awhile he gets spoofed!!

But in this home with a son now 24, we have a pet cemetary in our back yard, from years of pets!! Two geckos, 2 ignuanas, 4 birds,1 turtle, 2 hamsters, and a small snake. We also have had dogs and other cats, but not buried here!!

Also fish, forgot the fish!! I do not want any more pets, just these two boogers we have now are more than enough!!

Goldie--I made a picture for you.

My question for Channel Goldie listeners: If you are a child, what do you want to be when you grow up. If you are grown up, what did you want to be when you were a child?

My answer: When I was a child I wanted to be a "business woman" when I grew up. I used to sit at this big old desk in the house I grew up in and play "office" and answer the phone, take messages, and act very busy and important. Since I grew up I have been a business woman, but I never liked it very much. It never turned out to be as fun as it seemed when I was a kid! As an adult, I like more creative jobs.

um, yeah... funny life, isn't it... I always wanted to draw... it's all I ever wanted to do. Well, and ride horses and read. But I drew incessantly. I *looked* at things, and drew them... still do.

My mom was afraid of that. It would (she thought) lead to an ill-structured life with no security. She wanted me to be a teacher. Art, she assured me, would simply be a nice hobby; it could give pleasure to the people around me as well as to myself.

So actually I've done a lot of things, "been" a lot of things, wound up a business owner. And I have to admit it's entirely possible that my life is way richer and more interesting than it would have been had my major focus been on art per se.

Qsilv, I am glad you are happy with how things have gone in your life. You have a wonderful eye and hand and perhaps your day will come to just make art. I hope so.

WHen I was a child I wanted to be a Rockette (me being a short stocky kid with no sense of rhythm). I always have drawn and painted and "made things." The year I graduated from VCU with a degree in Painting and Printmaking, my mother happened to see my kindergarten teacher who asked if I ever did anything with art. She said all I ever did was draw in class and color. I guess it showed then what I should do. So I work in accounting to pay the bills and make art when I can at home. I wish I had taken a chance on myself when I was younger...Life got in the way. One more child to get through college, and I will try to pursue my dream again.
