Sorry, guys for not keeping up on Channel Goldie. I'll be spending less time in the forum and more time making pics for a little while. Then I'll come back to Channel Goldie!

Hi Goldie--glad you surfaced again. Just wondering--were you born in Hawaii? I miss the Islands and can't wait to come back and visit my sister in Kailua and my brother in Honolulu. I would also love to have some good saimin and teriyaki. Of course, now that the weather is cold here in Virginia, I could stand some sunshine and warmth! Oh, and I miss the mangoes, too! I'd better stop now, or I'll get a case of homesickness.

No, Sheftali, I was born in Missouri. When I just turned 3, we moved to O'ahu.

Goldie (the dog) is being crazy and you are on TD rather than outside exercising--no news there!!!

Sheftali52--did you grow up here in Hawaii?

Yes, Goldies Mom--I was born and raised on O'ahu. Lived several places on the island, but the longest in Foster Village in the Pearl Harbor area. Left the islands when I got married many years ago, but I always love coming back to visit. I'm planning to make it back there this year. Hope you're enjoying living in paradise!

Not bad, Goldie! Keep practicing, I've noticed some great improvement in your last pics. Copies are good exercise.

I can understand how you miss the islands, Sheftali--but it's great that you still have family here!

Goldie, I really like your eye of the tiger picture, and I agree, copying other art is great exercise and helps you learn new techniques.

btw, my poll answer:
D
Soju the Cat (19)
Andy the Cat (16)
Carmen the Dog (13)
Makana the Cat (5)
Goldie the Dog (almost 1!)

(But you knew that already! lol). Love mom

b. Chip - Male cat, around three years old
Frida Kahlo (we call her Kahlee) - Female, dog, almost 2. She got her name after a well known artist. My girl has a mustache and a unibrow like the woman artist.

D. 2 house cats, 2 porch cats, 2 yard cats who sneak in every night they can... but so do a local raccoon and a possum and the occasional bird!

Audrey (often holds her head up like Audrey Hepburn, an actress with a long neck, and is given to long dialogues)
Biscuit (ocelot markings, perennial kitten tho' he's 9 yrs old, only 8 lbs except when he refuses to be lifted so gains about 10 more)

Purdey (tortoiseshell & white female)
Me-Too (long-haired siamese who squeaks instead of meowing and goes EVERYwhere Purdey does, thus the monniker)

Softie (long haired gray-brown tabby female, won't let anyone near her at all --except Gato)
Gato (18 lb black male who will only let you pet him while you avert your eyes)

B. 2 pets--Buddy the 7 year old corgi, and Schatzi the 3 year old wire-haired dachshund. Don't know what I'd do without them! Some days I get along better with them than I do with my hubby! (Only partially kidding!)
