Hazer

April 4th and the jack rabbits that visit my back yard still have their white winter coats on.
Not a good sign for those of us who have had their fill of snow and cold. Temperatures are staying below zero for the rest of the week and I still have a lot of snow in my north facing yard. Not a robin in sight although I heard the other day that the male bears are out of hibernation and food is scarce so beware when you are out cross country skiing.
Guess I still have time to do a couple more jigsaw puzzles before the flower beds are visible.
But then again this is Alberta and a nice warm chinook could roll in and melt all that snow away before you can say global warming.

Baldur.. I'm so sorry, I hadn't heard about Robert. I can only try and imagine what it is like to lose the person who lights your life, but even trying to imagine it is too painful.

At least you are still at Boughbreak, so that hopefully there are a thousand joyful memories every day, even through the mist of missing someone so much.

I send you many hugs and pats and some primroses. We all miss you lots and lots.

Baldur, you have my condolences. Living alone isn't easy, especially after you are accustomed to loving company.
Hugs.

Hello TD and TD friends,

It is with great sadness to let you know that my sister, TD artist “clrmered”, succumbed to cancer a few days before Christmas and Memorialized this past January. I have not been on for a while as in late May she found out that her days were numbered. I was with her for 3 weeks in June, and despite trips to doctors etc, we had a great visit; after which, we saw and talked to each other on Skype. She proved the doctors wrong, and instead of 6 weeks, she lived another 7 months to our delight, most of which was pain managed with meds so she was able to do things and visit with friends and family through October. Missing her dearly, katidid

PS
Thank you bugoy1 and indigo for your inquiries as to my absence. I was with my sister in June and I spent most of late July thru Oct. painting my house, (which I will need to finish this spring and summer) and I got away from drawing, that and it’s just been hard getting back to it as it is something that my sister and I shared. I will try to get back to drawing soon as I do miss it, the comments, and all the great art produced here with the bits and pieces.

May I add my condolences? I am sorry for your loss. She was fortunate that she had such a loving sister, but I am sure you feel that you are the lucky one. Keep on spending time with her. She will always be in your heart.

What is new today?

I guess it is no longer all Baldur all the time. Hello to all my friends, it is long overdue. Mr Bear thanks everyone for their kind thoughts.
I wish I could get ThinkDraw to function on my borrowed computer, but sadly the flash drive issue cripples me.
All is well at Boughbreak, everything evolves as things must.
Take care of yourselves. Baldur

I just read about the changes and tried doing a simple test drawing, it did indeed let me create one but when I attempted submitting the image nothing went thru.
I will try again from time to time

Dear Baldur.. how are you ? It's so good to hear from you again !

What browser were you using and were you logged in when you tried submitting the picture ? The site at the moment always logs you off when you leave, so you have to log back in each time you visit - that keeps catching me out. If you can describe exactly what happens, Ponto can look into it and see if there's an issue.

hello marg, I am fine thank you.
Mr Bear is using his friend's computer, who isnt really sure but he believes this is using Windows 10. Neither of us is far beyond the Luddite stage.
I was logged on when I tried submitting the picture, it was a very simple test picture, just a few shapes arranged as a trial.
It actually amazed me that I could do anything at all. All my previous attempts would not allow as much as move pieves onto the field.
This time I was able to do a picture, give it a title and hit 'submit'. Then it just vanished.

Hi Baldur — What Marg meant by "browser" was probably: Is the program you use to access the web called Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome, or Firefox, or Safari, or something else? Internet Explorer may be the problem, because it's fallen by the wayside in recent years and no longer works with many webpages. Also, that may have been Windows' default browser when the operating system (Windows 10) went in. Good luck and hurry back!

well indeed it seems baldur has returned. much has changed and is changing. fred moves into boughbreak in less than 3 weeks. in anticipation of this event the internet has returned after a 4 year absence. there will be dribbles of information on life here during what i will call the monastic period. life has been good in a 19th century sort of way.
