Baldur

Whew, I'm glad I don't need to do drawings 9 days a week.
I have too many houseplants to water and a cranky handicapped friend to chauffeur all over creation.

I like the idea of continuity co-existing with freedom! There is a lot of fun in this challenge, Keep up the good work, and I hope that someday I will find my urge to draw again.

Normal's "Restaurant at the end of the".

My response is to take the cherub in her restaurant and put it back into Raphael's original work.

Dear Bugoy! We've reached the point where we have to agree to disagree. I can't agree that anybody gets "skipped." My feelings are not hurt that others don't share a love of Douglas Adams. I doubt Baldur is insulted by my not having Al Yankovich or Cyborgs in my culture. (I also don't have "country" music or men who wear hats in the house. Others may not have the Beethoven piano concertos. It's all fine.) My participation will still be "freely" associated. You will do what you do! Best regards!

I suppose convincing you is out of the realm of possibilities.

The point of building from the last image is that it stays continuous and the evolution includes everyone. If you allow the association to splinter, someone HAS to be skipped. For example, let's pretend that instead of responding to Baldur's "Like a Surgeon", the next artist makes a Sistine Chapel reference. Baldur has now been skipped over.

Even if as you suggest, people begin to respond on various splinters, there is a choice. Which one to reply to is the choice. That means someone is guaranteed to be ignored. If I have a choice of three splinter ideas, I can respond to one and skip the other two.

My biggest question is why is it so difficult to build off the latest FAF response? What makes that so tricky? I guess I don't understand your desire to split the thread.

Since it is almost Thanksgiving in the USA, I will use it for an example. Let's say you get invited to dinner with family in Florida, California, and Montana. You can only attend one and decline the other two. The same goes for splintered threads and responses. As long as you respond to the latest, we don't get splits.

I see an interesting challenge developing. Bugoy goes to the TG in Florida, I'll go to California, and Normal goes to Montana. Everybody else will choose to follow one of us, and we'll see who'll be clever enough to "draw" us all back together again. Sort of like re-braiding the strands into one rope.

Not English speaking, totally different culture, I don't understand this CHALLENGE at all. Is that why TD is breaking up? I think most people don't follow, they just left!! I have less than 10 followers left, and nobody that I'm following. Well .... those where the days .... Out with the old, in with the new!!!! This is my penny in the purse. (Don't let challenges take over TD)

Building off of Baldur's image from last week, I've added "Under the Knife".
