This topic is to serve as the gallery and a running thread for the Free Association Friday.

The idea behind Free Association Friday is to build off of the previous posted picture. You are free to base your association off of the theme, color, title or subject. As the example I gave earlier, perhaps I post a drawing called "Free". The next artist may add a drawing then called "Press" to associate "Free" with "Press". Still another would take the "Press" and add "Button" or maybe "Release".

As I mentioned, the association doesn't have to be by title. An artist may steal the nose from the last portrait drawn and work that into their drawing of a sailboat. Who knows?

Hopefully this will spark some fun creativity. I want to encourage everyone to participate.

We will begin this Friday the 17th of October 2014. I will have a drawing ready to release after midnight. Let's have fun with it!

Well, we got 4 drawings for the first Free Association Friday. Maybe next week will get more participation. We continue next Friday with Baldur's "Monet for Nothing and the Chicks for Free". Which coincidentally begins & ends our Free Association Friday with the word "free".

mdawrcn, since it carries over from Friday to Friday, you can plan during the week what response you want to add and be the first on the next Friday. For instance, nobody has so far responded to Baldur's clever "Monet for nothing (and chicks for free)" pic. Somebody could have used the week to prepare for an awesome response.

I didn't really want it to be a FAAnyday because then it would be stepping on Fun Tuesday's toes. I picked Friday because it isn't close to Tuesday at all. I know that Fun Tuesday is a well established ThinkDraw tradition and have no desire to interfere with that.
