well I dunno... I think I'm beginning to see it more from TD's/Rachel's POV...

altho I'll admit it's a trifle stunning (um, think "felled ox", not "gorgeous gown" here) to discover your work's dropped several pages in one instant...

still and all, I find I've gotten used to scanning quickly along the pages, seeing -- in a bit of a blur with a few nice surprises -- the rows of declining numbers of votes at each %-level... 'til I hit the next batch of high-number votes with less than stellar percentages....

...repeat process... next batch...

AND that ability to cross-check Gallery by Most Ratings or Highest Ratings or Most Recent is feeling more useful.

The issue is becoming one of quantity to wade thru tho...

I'm thinking what it must be like to be Rachel et al and sort of HAVE to wade through it all quite often... herding cats... chasing toddlers... (smiles)

Actually, I'm curious as to what seems to make a few pieces feel sacrosanct enough to the viewers that no one does give less than a 5... other than of course the too-obvious premise of self-aggrandizement...

A look through the Top 5 for each month in each category shows really a huge variety... a lot of sweetness... a lot of clever concepts... things stunningly well executed... people who are well-liked...

what I'm not seeing there is a single picture I'd like removed...

then why not defang them by simply saving your own vote to give them a 4?

KM, no doubt in my mind either who it is; we are on the same page there I believe, and I agree about the friends knowing. When I look at my pics and see all but a few with votes lower than a 1 it really bothers me; is this ever going to go away? Being here isn't uplifting me like it did at first. I wish I could do some more candy pics and not get them voted down this time but that won't happen.

Qsilv, I would never hurt someone on purpose no matter if they hurt me first, I would be no better than them for doing so. For those that don't see what is going on feel lucky you are spared from knowing. KM, is right it is so obvious.

Qsilv, you won't see many really good pics in Top 5 next time around unless only votes are considered; then you will see what we are talking about.

If I knew the day and time that the Top 5 was going to be picked I'd save my pictures to the last minute to post them; it is that bad.

There are links. Delete it there they think it's deleted everywhere. Watch your files! Make backups.

What links what files? Are you talking about links on TD or somewhere else? I'm lost no one can damage your PC from TD.

I am pretty sure that the only person who can delete your stuff on TD is you... right?

and with your computer they would have to have direct access.... which is rather impossible to get (and way too much trouble to get it) with TD...

I copied a picture for me on TD placed in my files, I made a copy of it. Its sort like a template, when you change a template that change is made on everything that template is used for.

The file itself remains, the picture is gone! Pretty scarey.

Here's how it went. I copied and pasted a picture that had "for KMkagle" on it. Placed it in my Favorites. The files itself is intact, the picture is gone!
