This is an imaginative idea ... it's as good as a new theme.

One moving line. I'd like to know how those who have done piece by piece pictures know exactly where to end/start the next piece.

What I did was start with the bottom picture (I just kind of winged it as to how much to start with) when I was done it I printed it off. Fortunately it was just about exactly the same size as my draw window. So I just held it up to the screen lined up with the bottom of the new draw window and lined everything up that way. I did the same for the top picture too. I must say I don't think I could have gotten so much beautiful detail into it as Clorophilla got in her dragon pic. She must have really slaved at those, and to such a fantastic result!

Thanks, Dragon. I tend the freehand everything, because my laptop isn't hooked up to the home printer. I want to try that technique some day. Would be interesting to know if Clorophilla and Mum23 used the same technique.

One more moving line picture: Silver Tigress

Seemed to take forever...but lasts mere seconds, still strangely satisfying, yes I'm talking about this picture...or animation - enjoy!

Just trying a different arrangement -- the first arrangement was the one I intended as I was doing the drawings.

@mrowzski don't know if this helps but I opened TD X4 and worked on all 4 drawings at once. I did end up eyeing it some because the pics remain separated by the frames, but at least I was able to sorta kinda line them up. the best part though, was that I could upload them all at once so they are in the gallery side by side.

I did the same as gimzer. By adjusting the size of the windows, it is possible to have multiple TDs on the same theme going at the same time, which allows you to see them all at once. If your screen isn't big enough, you can still have the windows open, with your pictures on them, but just 'park' them in the bottom taskbar until you are ready to submit them. The advantage of doing it this way, as gimzer said, is that they can all go in the gallery together.

Clorophilla, you are a wonder for the lateral (or should I say vertical) thinking which led you to your dragon pic. You've opened up a whole new world of possibilities!

well, that last one did not work....

39. 25 Jun 2010 22:45

clorophilla

well, first I worked with the printed pic, then I go on with the mum's tecnique, arranging the window and the scroll of prievious pic in the way I have the top of the drawing lined up at the frame, then sticking the previous pic under the frame of the pic I was drawing. Finally, i worked on the last two pic toghether.
