Please help test the new option to prevent misclicking and let us know what you think...

You have to change the setting on your profile page, and then just play about on the drawing page.

Thank you!

It seems to be working whether I want to jump to another palette or to a different tab on TD. THANK YOU, TD!!

I tried it or so I think.... I put a tick or check in the WARN ME BEFORE LEAVING in my profile. I pressed change settings. I went back to any theme (let's say CANDY)and put some pieces on the screen. Then I pressed to change to another theme (let's say AVATARS) and it didn't ask me anything and the new screen appeared blank and I lost my supposed "masterpiece!".
Isn't mine working or there is something I don't unerstand?

It's the same for me - I set the option but it seems to not work. Anyway, I found my solution time ago, and since then, with my strategy, I did lost no more pics!

I understand it's to cover avatars, candy, fruit etc before beginning any pic so that you can't make it disappear by accident. I can't seem to move this column of the pic but it's a very INTELLIGENT IDEA.
I hope Rachel can make work this new possibility. This would be awesome!!!

Sorry I should have said I can move neither the THEMES column nor widen the screen or make it narrow etc with my computer but a bright idea indeed!

...laughing out loud here in delight! Rachel that's brilliant.

It works for every possible CLOSURE of the page, as long as there is at least one drawing item ON the 'canvas'. (Use "Undo" enough to clear the canvas and it deactivates; works again soon's you drag another piece in place.)

And of course we can still navigate away to a different TAB, with our Draw page still open on its own tab.

-

polenta & clorophilla -- it's using a sweet little javascript routine; do you have javascript turned off (prevented) on your computers?

Here's how to enable it--
(I swiped these instructions from the 'net, haven't checked the steps myself --and fwiw, I'm on PC, not Mac.)

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x, 7.x and 8.x (Windows)

1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Click Custom level… in Security level for this zone.
4. Scroll down to Scripting, near the bottom of the list.
5. Under Active scripting, choose Enable.
6. Click OK to leave Security Settings. Click OK to leave Internet Options.

Mozilla Firefox 3.x (Windows)

1. Select Options… from the Tools drop-down menu.
2. Select the Content section from the options at the top of the pop-up page.
3. Check the “Block pop-up windows,” “Load images automatically,” “Enable JavaScript” and “Enable Java” boxes.
4. Click OK.

Safari 3.x (Macintosh)

1. Select Preferences… from the Safari drop-down menu.
2. Select the Security section from the options at the top of the pop-up page.
3. Under “Web Content,” check the “Enable plug-ins,” “Enable Java” and “Enable JavaScript” boxes.
4. Close the Security window.

Qsilv,
You seem to know loads about computer science.

I tried to go to TOOLS (Herramientas) and then there in the menu I chose INTERNET OPTIONS and I got a "page" with lots of "eyelids". One of them says SECURITY (Seguridad).
It seems something like CONFIGURATION but there are many things....
Am I on the right way? And.... what do I do next?
Where on earth did you learn so much about computers? Are you a programmer or engineer?

polenta

On that SECURITY PAGE first there are 4 Icons and almost at the bottom I have something I can open and it says PERSONALIZED LEVEL. If I enter there I have lots of things.
Is it there? Almost at the end there is something like ALLOW WINDOWS BEGUN BY SCRIPTS TO OPEN WITHOUT ANY RESTRICTION OF SIZE OR POSITION (permitir que se abran ventanas iniciadas por scripts sin ninguna restricción de tamaño o posición)
And later there are two possibilities HABILITAR (something like AUTHORIZE) and the second is DESHABILITAR (NOT AUTHORIZE)
Is it there where I have to do something? And how will it affect my other things? Thanks a lot just in case you can help me. Sorry my Windows program is in Spanish and nobody taught me any configuration.

well in the interests of narrowing down the issue, let's do a quick test.
You should see an annoyingly bright page with words and a wide black windowlette.... AND in that windowlette a wavy line of words should appear!
Give it a few seconds to load fully --it took my systems about 5 to 10.

Thanks for the feedback, and thanks Qsilv for the technical support.

If you can see the lists of favorites, and followers on Think Draw when you click on the links then you have JavaScript enabled on your browser.

It may be that the problem is your browser is caching an old version of the page. On Internet Explorer try holding Ctrl while reloading the page.

Please note, there must be a started drawing in order for the warning to appear.

Of course, there is a good chance the problem is on our end. If this option is still not working please send a feedback message telling us what browser you are using and we will look into it.

Thanks again!

Thanks for all the help. I've switched from Google Chrome to Windows Internet Connection, made sure JavaScript is enabled, entered TD from scratch (rather than from the 'favourites' menu), ticked the (now available) option box and all is working perfectly. TD and Qsilv, you are stars. It still doesn't work for me in Google Chrome but thanks to the help offered, I got there in the end.

whoa.. hang on a minute..

It worked fine for me yesterday, but I just had a play, and I was getting VERY variable results - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, under exactly the same conditions.

Think Draw - I'm guessing you've been making some on-line changes as we speak, because it certainly looks pretty robust to me now ?
