I can see Java perfectly with this address Q gave.

http://www.bodo.com/javame.htm

I re-entered like Login said (not through favorites) and it still doesn't work. I've explained a little before. If someone can help me.... thanks..
What else should I do?

Qsilv,

You are a GENIUS!!! Disappointed as I was, I looked at my computer desk... and there I SAW IT: Mozilla Firefox. I had never known what it was, never used it..... and MIRACLE, it works there!!!!!!!

So, thanks a lot even if it doesn't work in Internet Explorer.......
YOU ARE AN ENGINEER..... YES, YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!!!

While we are on the subject of things working, I have not tried to use the "Save draft" option since the 1st time I lost a pic with it... Is it still "bugged"?
I would love to do a pic over a period of days, but it scares me. so I dont do pics that I can not FINISH in more that a couple hours...

Same here, matthew -- or I pick a freshly booted computer that I can leave the window open on for however long. I just don't really trust it. :/

Many thanks for the new failsafe option, Rachel... it is wonderful!!

matthew, I've used the save draft option many, many times because I rarely get to draw for more than a few minutes at a time and the computer is in high demand... only once have I had a problem with getting my picture back. I emailed Rachel about it, then returned to the drawing screen, to find that the 'load draft' option was available again. I don't know whether Rachel fixed it (within a couple of minutes!) or whether it just magically reappeared!

That was about a month ago, and I've not had any problems with saving pictures since then. I hope that helps!

puzzler, if the options box is not showing *at the foot of the page*, try using a different search engine and *typing* in www.thinkdraw.com

Failing that, throw a tantrum ... it worked for me.

Umm.. hi ThinkDraw..

I've got the option ticked, and it WAS working beautifully.. but I just spent about 30 minutes drawing something, and then clicked elsewhere.. and no warning, nothing - but the pic is gone ?

I have an idea.
Everytime you open Think Draw, open TWO SCREENS so with time you will get used to the fact you can't touch anything while drawing.
I'm kind of doing that because my Internet Explorer is still not working. A two-screen solution could help us.

marg & ThinkDraw

That issue I brought up elsewhere about the www turns out to be major...

...most websites will function with or without it

http://thinkdraw.com
.............OR
http://www.thinkdraw.com

but without the www ThinkDraw will not load the Flash pix on profile pages

and without the www ThinkDraw will not prompt that you are leaving Draw

polenta -- you have developed several neat work-arounds. I'd just like to mention a couple things to consider too --

1. It uses less of your system's resources to open TABS within your browser (Firefox or MSIE) rather than open a whole new browser window. There are situations where it's worth it of course, and I do run with at least two browsers up most the time. Just so y'know. ;>

2. I'm a little concerned about a note you left elsewhere saying you were bookmarking gallery pages and including a month notation. If I understand that correctly (I might not!), you'll get an unhappy surprise down the road a bit because the page will open to its numbered address, but the drawings on it won't be of that month. It's more effective to keep track of drawings by their ID numbers.

Hope that helps a bit.

nope, I don't think that's it..

I logged out, closed down all browser instances, totally cleared my cache - all pages, all off-line, the lot - typed in www.thinkdraw.com and logged in -

and it happily goes wherever I click when I'm half way through a picture..

Now, it definitely WASN'T doing that before

I guess you are right Q. It changes.
Well, maybe Rachel could help us so it's easier to go back to any page or any date. I suppose she hasn't done it yet because it must be sort of hard. It would be nice to do something about it..... but I'm not complaining she has done too much for us already!

..right this minute it is working for me in Firefox but NOT in MSIE !

39. 13 Jun 2010 20:14

Qsilv

tsk... I wasn't logged in to TD in MSIE (just in Firefox).
As soon as I logged in, the prompt feature worked there too.

Sorry for the lost picture marg.

If it was the www prefix (or lack of it) causing the problem then it should be fixed. Obviously if it happens again despite this, please let us know and we will try and find the cause.

Thanks!
