I wonder if someone can recommend the name of a drawing computer program that is not as simple as PAINT (Windows) nor as professional as COREL DRAW or PHOTOSHOP. Something inbetween.
It could be about drawing and painting. Nothing to do with photographs.
Thanks in advance.

PAINT is pretty simple. I can't think of anything. What about DRAW?

I didn't know there was a program called DRAW. I'll check it in the Internet.
Thanks a lot maddyjean

polenta it should be fine to download if you have up to date virus software (if you don't you shouldn't go anywhere on the internet). A really good free virus program is avast: http://www.avast.com/

I've got a new computer and the technician installed anti-virus NOD32 and I think it updates automatically. In fact the comuter is not new, only a present from a graphic designer who bought herself a much better one. But what matters is that it is better than my old prehistoric 10-year old computer!!!!!!
You will laugh but its RAM memory is ONLY 352 MB.
I'll ask my technician. Thanks.

LOL...I remember when computers were 372K. Not even enough for a medium .jgp picture....and the monitors were green, and Windows had not yet come to be. (Actually I can remember when there were no TV's, but let's don't talk about that

Downloading anything off the Internet can increase the possibility of getting viruses.
I'm kind of a electronic freak and very well know these thing.

This is what I picture next for TVs: say you're watching TV, and they start talking about a certain smell. That same smell will be let out through small boxes that look much like speakers.

Baldur will never buy one of those. But then Baldur rarely watches television now.

Wow, Smellovision would certainly stop people from watching crime scene shows. Trust me, autopsy smell is not something you want coming out of your speakers!

Oh, but all those cooking shows, everything LOOKS so good
imagine smelling it! I wouldn't be able to watch Food Network
ever again!

Luna, I want to talk about when there were no TVs ... it's one of the few things I know anything about!

My mom told my about the frist TV they ever had. She recalls faithfully watching Hockey Night in Canada. She wasn't particularly interested in HNIC but it was the only thing (literally) that was on and the novelty of simply watching TV was so great that it didn't matter what was on. Imagine telling your kids that once upon a time there were only a couple of shows on at a time and the broadcast stopped at 11:00 or so.

Having to get up to TURN THE DIAL... ABC, CBS & NBC (PBS came later) and depending on where you lived, you might not get but one of those channels... But yes... At 11pm all broadcast stopped after playing the national anthem... Cartoons were found only on Saturday mornings...

The best part of it all was that most of the people you knew watched the same show you did... So TV was a real water cooler discussion every day...

I remember when you could fit several ornaments on top of the tele. Just try that with your flat screens! And they call it progress!
