I don't have one, but I too hate my vacuum cleaner. Is it too much to ask of technology, to have enough suction to remove a small amount of dust?

I used to have an old tv (one of the ones that sat on the floor and was encased in wood) When it crapped out on me I ended up putting the working tv on top of it. Imagine my surprise to hear Jeff Foxworthy utter the words 'If your working tv sits on top of your non-working tv - you might be a red-neck.'

As for vacuums, we have a Roomba and we love it! Just press a button and let it go for it. That's my idea of progress!

Puzzler, it's OK now. I've got some tips already.
TV started in Uruguay in 1956. I was seven but didn't have our own TV until I was about 12. Some people, like my uncle were early TV buyers but the frenzy began maybe in the late 50s and early 60s.
I have to confess that my mom and I sometimes went to watch TV to some "rich" neighbors who owned one. I remember even seeing some of them lying IN BED!!!!!!
I got married in 1968 and our RCA TV cost more than 4 months of rent. It was a lot of money indeed!
Our children wouldn't understand it. It was another era. Has anyone seen the movie "Avalon"? They show how an American family bought a TV but the only thing they did was to watch the empty screen with only a sign of the channel. FUNNY, ISN'T IT?

I've been told of a program. It must be DRAW mentioned above. It's OPEN OFFICE. It includes OPEN OFFICE DRAW. It looks kind of good and it's totally free they say.
