I have seen 3 different versions of this beautiful painting by Hundertwasser and each one catches my eye right away. They are so different all all have their own version of that beauty. Wanted to put them all in one spot.

Hundertwasser's an interesting character, but so was Hokusai
-- each is worth reading about at least briefly.

I LOVE Hundertwasser's work, it's so bright and colorful and cheery (well, most of it)...plus, the architectural ideas of the window rights and the "replaced" grass and trees is such a cool idea. More people need to think that way!
We just painted our house bright red and we just about caused a war in our town with it since people are so narrow minded. A lady actually argued with my for thirty minutes "but WHY not EGGshell?????" ('cause I wanted RED!!!!). I'm planning on doing a mosaic frame around the garage door to go even more into a hundertwasser-ish direction. Collecting tile now, can't wait to get started!

Thanks for starting this thread, might get more people to learn about this awesome man.

Now I see. My mistake. I was thinking that all of these were based on that same pic by Hokusai. That's what happens when two artists that I've never heard of before both have names that start with an "H". My simple mind makes them into the same person. LOL Those pics by Kugusch reminded me so much of those other "wave" paintings inspired by Hokusai, that I missed the point entirely that they were inspired by a totally different style of art. My apologies, but still...FANTASTIC work from all of you! These are some of my favorite pics EVER here on ThinkDraw!
