For AFSOUTH and all our veterans on TD ....in appreciation.

The 7th Sense....by Mike Roszko

How can we remember

The ear shattering thunder of flak ,

When this we have not heard?

How can we remember

The searing heat of a bullet,

When this we have not felt?

How can we remember

The blinding flashes of shell fire,

When this we have not seen?

How can we remember

The sour-sweetness of our blood as it trickled across our lips,

When this we have not tasted?

How can we remember

The thick, suffocating stench of smoke and decay,

When this we have not smelt?

We cannot....

....because we have been spared

the Agony,

the Terror,

the Hellish sensations,

OF War...

...by those who can.

A salute to the Top 5 artists this month! Well done!
I have been so impressed with the variety of clowns etc. in the circus showcase. I have started a couple but probably won't get them finished in time to submit. My inspiration is Cirque de Soleil and I was going to do the face on Amaluna, but I'm such an amateur! I would like to see it done by some of you more accomplished artist, if anyone is interested. I chose that one because it seemed the simplest one for me to tackle. So there's a little challenge for you. Their web sites have many intriguing characters.

Hi Hazer Please forgive my overdue follow up. I pray your healing will be blessed with Gods speed and that all at TD will soar to the lofty places of wonder and beauty available here!

Thanks AFSOUTH. Healing is coming along well. I have returned to work and find it exhausting but it is good to be back into a routine.
I have every confidence that our fellow TDers will resume the caring, friendly atmosphere we previously enjoyed here.

Must give a salute to the wonderful artists here on TD! I have been quite preoccupied with the everyday goings on and haven't felt much inspiration to draw of late. But when I do check in it always feels like coming home and it was especially sweet to find the lovely birthday cards and wishes! So nice to be remembered!

Hi there! just to dropped by to add my humble respects as well. I barely get the time to come around and peek into the galleries now and then and I'm usually to tired to draw. Nevertheless, I dound an article today that really made my day and realized that my thought went immediately to this wonderful community who loves and support art.
So here it is, i hope you enjoy it as well

I have stayed up way too late reading the comments on random pics in my gallery. What a wonderful community ! My heart is full and my eyes fill with tears as I read your messages of encouragement and the condolences throughout my late husbands illness and subsequent passing. We have shared joy and sorrow, watched friendships blossom, and sadly said goodbye to dear friends along the way. I want you all to know what a blessing you have been in my life. I wish there were some way to keep connected, because even though I have not been able to draw, I do peek in occasionally to make sure you are all still here. I don't claim to be much of an artist but drawing was very therapeutic for me. Thank you Racheal for this wonderful gift we have enjoyed so much over the years. I wish everyone good health and happiness!

Hello everyone! I miss you all very much! I'm on a new computer and it is fantastic. I check in
everyday to see if anything is happening. I hope everyone is alright, as we continue dealing with this pandemic. We are still on lock down here in Ontario but that may change in a few days. Some nonessential stores may open soon. "Momma needs a haircut!" LOL! Stay safe!

Hiya indigo.. long time no see !

Talk to me about haircuts ! We're in summer over here, so I think my need is greater than yours, as you need a nice thick mat to keep the cold out up there

Hopefully we can have some drawing happening again very soon - everything is looking good right now, but it's taking a bit of time.

I think these are just teething issues due to the site being switched over to the new code, as things were pretty stable on the test site.

Hope you're staying safe and well and spring is starting to happen in Ontario !
