My nephew Baldur just got up on his soapbox (in the 'Help With English' thread) about the danger that faces men whenever Valentine's Day comes around.
He seems to think that the expectations that we ladies have are somehow out of whack.
I shall remedy this situation and give him a good WHACK myself.
Is it too much to expect a card, some flowers, a thoughtful and costly gift, a romantic dinner and some Whoopee?
Men don't appreciate the effort it takes on our part.
On Valentine's Day I often need to fit 6 men into my schedule and still sound pleasant on the phone when potential future beaus call.
