Please list on this thread if you have a December birthday! That way we can have a heads up before the actual day!

"Heads up" is an American English term (I think) that means to give advanced warning or notice. So when something is going to happen in the future and you would like to let others know, you would give them a heads up. Thanks for reminding me that my slang won't always be understood, puzzler.

Tater, is it weird having a birthday on Christmas day?

Well sorta. You never get to go to school and have kids sing happy birthday to you. People forget it's your birthday and don't say anything since they are distracted with all the action of Christmas. People don't show up to my parties since they are in a different state with family for Christmas.

But then again, people spend your money at the same time and buy you one HUGE gift!

Some people I've known with Christmas birthdays have said they like it because they get more presents! But I can see how it would be a bummer if folks don't ever sing Happy Birthday and at least acknowledge the day with a cake or something. But then, how cool is it to share the birthday with the person Christmas honors?

Ya, a present that barfs on you for the first year you get it. How wonderful... LOL! i really was a good present though!

y'know, babies do spit up a bit, usually (not all of 'em, some more than others), but they also snuggle like kittens...
and that whole first year is so crammed with daily changes that it's just a total wonder... you sometimes look at an older child and wish you could get a few moments of it back!

In my family we have a couple Dec b'days, one right next to xmas day, so we just make one room be totally a Birthday Room... different colors from the xmas theme, and the birthday person gets to go anywhere they want and eat anything they want that day. Typically that's like ice-skating or Disneyland and pizza... lol... but hey... could be a trip to the Grand Canyon and caviar!

'tater? I LOVE your new 'whole body' emoticon! feels kind of Wall-E-ish.
Thanks for putting it out for us to use.

Hmm, I think Dec 22 would be a nicely auspicious day for a birthday, that's when the days start getting longer again and we can all dream a little dream of spring.

I think mekeys should choose the topic to draw about next Tuesday because it's his birthday.
As for tkeys I know some people whose birthday is either the 24th or 25th and they always say their birthday are not COMPLETELY celebrated because after all people celebrate Christmas Eve or Christmas.
Will these people have TWO presents?????
