Of all the drawings you've created on TD, which one is your favorite? Post a link here.

Mine is http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=15435 and it's the first one I drew. It's nothing spectacular as far as artistic talent goes, but the idea came out of my head (or my fingers) and I love the colors. It makes me happy to see it.

I have two personal favorites. Neither did very well in the ratings department which just goes to show how different people look at things so differently:

My very favorite is "I Remember"
http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=19265
It's a memorial to the Challenger Disaster

My second only received four votes. I think it's because it was done in Faces and the thumbnail really doesn't do it credit. Someone actually asked me if it was a waffle

I called it "And Hope Fell Down..."

It's a memorial to The Twin Towers and 9-11

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=445 because it's just so wholly what I felt when I first discovered ThinkDraw

MugDots2 - I love your fave!
Matthew - all respect to your choice; my fave of yours tho' is Lipstick Kiss
Ron - The Kid ...but nearly tying that is Silence

Thanks QSilv...

I commented on yours that I really need to go through everyone's back issues. I'm still actually new around here and have missed so much that has gone before.

I like Silence as well but it's a movie poster rip-off so I don't really count it (I know, I know...)

I'm liking this forum topic more and more... Insightful...

qsilv and mugdots, your favourites are also all time favourites of mine. great work.

my favourite picture i have done makes me smile every time i see it and gives me a sense of satisfaction that i finally conquered gothic to some degree.

This is difficult, as I am a very indecisive person. So I usually end up liking the one I've just completed, which in this case is Warhol's Liz Taylor sort of. I'm not too happy with the distance between her eyes, but her face has turned out quite pretty, so I can stand o look at it!

I'm not very computer savvy, how do you get the link to your picture on the forum? (I can't even figure out how to see the whole name when it appear below my picture.)

Dragon, to make a link to your picture:-
* select your pic and open it
* look at the top of your screen, atthe address bar. It will start with http and end with a number
* move your cursor over this and right click. The text in it will be selected and a box will appear, left click on copy
* now go to the forum, write whatever you want and when you need to put the link in, right click and when the box appears, left click on paste.
* your link will appear!

Thanks puzzler!
My favorite pic of mine is also one that didn't get much attention, that seems to be the way of things for all of us. I just really liked the way it turned out pretty much exactly as I imagined it would.

I have a few favourtites for different reasons....

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=13587 because it was the first one i did that I kind of "got" the idea of think draw.

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=14334 because it took me ages, and i felt satisfied after (keep in mind it was done prior to the repeat button)

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=21435 because it was my first attempt at copying an actual picture, not just exploring what came out of my head, and it actually looks sort of like the picture i copied... woot!

Okay, this is tough. I have different favorites for different reason:

For inspiration from another TD artist:
http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=8403

(see Baldur's "Aspen" http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=7888 )

For humor:
http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=7345
(Not difficult, but it made me laugh, especially coming up with a title)

For a reminder of my personal philosophy, where God can take any mess I make in life and make something great out of it (a Romans 8:28 kind of thing):
http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=7672

(Believe it or not this started out as a "Repunzel" drawing, and it just wasn't working with the hair. I got bored with it, flipped through the backgrounds, and voila... inspiration!)

Several of the others could rank for different reasons, but I need to stop somewhere or it ceases to be "favorite".

I LOVE looking at everyone's favorites, btw. I think this is my favorite TOPIC!

Too many to comment on individually but this is a GREAT topic and fun!

18. 8 Feb 2009 10:05

Qsilv

yes! I keep coming back, looking for additions.

It's especially fun to hear the reasoning behind them.

candr, your rapunzel > bratcat story makes me love that one even more and it was already one of my all time faves here.

Soda

I believe that at the moment these are my four favorites....

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=24257
Since this sums up a lot of how I feel about love.

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=24081
because this shows innocent concentration

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=22735
because it was my first real try with shading

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=23600
because this is what I might have done when I was a child

Though swimmer's moment (I did not plan on making this...), left behind (the thought touched my heart and I had to share), and hills (what I might doodle in real life) have places in my heart I believe that at the moment the ones I listed are the ones that I go back to because viewing them gives me a sense of pride and peace that I achieved what I wished to.

Here are a few of my personal faves:

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=24548
My latest work - the first I've used the "save draft" function for

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=7611
Though I could have done more with the eyes, I really like how the rest of it turned out

http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=12179
This one helps me keep things in perspective
