What a person looks like on the outside is not important. It what you are on the inside. When some says something nasty, look at them and smile. It will confuse them.
As to boredom-- crafts are a great way to spend some time. If you have a little money you can purchase a potholder frame and nylon loops at a craft store ( walmart has them sometimes) Use a metal one--plastic breaks to easy. Then you not only have a nice craft but can make gifts- sew 4 together and you have a place mat. If you are near a craft store many of them offer free classes . Purchase some beads and make key chains in all kinds of shapes. (sometimes they are in a kit with a pattern ) Coffee filters- wet it with water and them draw a random design ,using colored markers or watercolor pencils, on them , the colors will spread. Pinch in middle add a coiled piece of pipe cleaner and you have a butterfly. string several together and you have a mobile.

Another very inexpensive craft is QUILLING - not to be confused with quilting.,It is the art of making little paper circles and them shaping them into flowers of animals etc. The a paper comes in all colors and you need only one small tool to twist the paper in to a circle and some glue. Maddy - I could send you some craft sites for more ideas,too. The nice thing about this craft is you can take it any were to work on.
