I like that idea, saba. We've already done a series of our own ... "Where In The World Am I" ... but there's still plenty of scope left for a Showcase on a similar theme.

There was a Landmarks of the World showcase some time back. It was a particularily good showcase and had some really great pics. I'd like to see maybe a 'My Home Town' showcase where everyone did something from where they live or where they grew up.

How about a theme of studies in perspective? A few have turned out some impressive pieces with great depth or distance. It would be interesting to see some techniques used for that purpose.

Like it... Simply call it "3D"

"3D" is good. Much simpler

I'd like to see a Beatles theme ... unlimited possibilities

I like the 3d idea and have made a few pics like that, but didn't get many comments. I still like the "anything to do with dreams", and would love to add:
-beyond the picket fence
-imagine
-"if I could be the size of an ant"
-my hometown
-vehicles
-under the microscope
-crossing the line

Just some ideas.

I also like mostblessedone's suggestion ... 'studies in perspective'.

I second the Beatles theme and it doesn't have to be
a hard days night because we could come together and
twist and shout...

Beatles would be fun. I've long thought of ARCHITECTURE. Realize you had Landmarks, but this could be buildings famous or humble, or just elements of building.....rose windows, columns, domes, bricks, logs, whatever. This might encompass our various skill levels.

It's an interesting idea ... must be a lot of scope in there.

I kinda like Doug's "Ant's POV" idea too. That might make for some interesting pics

Beatles sounds cool!

I like the architecture idea also. I've often taken pics of close up parts of buildings. There are a lot of buildings in big and little cities you just don't look at up close and see the detail and workmanship from the days before pre-fab, I need 2 breaks an hour, and I won't work for less than 30$ an hour. Maybe your dad's or mom's who made art out of structure and technique. Some buildings are art themselves. Pittsburgh has a lot of "green buildings". That is part of the reason we are the next
"slaughter city" to host the G-20. lol.

I like the dream theme. i often illustrate my dreams, perfect comic book material.

How about baby animals? That would be nice, anyone can try - from all over the world. Ads are good only for those who know about them, watch them on local TV, read in local newspapers...
