of course I just noticed that dragon had posted and ancient egypt challenge yesterday which of course I did not see because my internet was down. but not to worry since her request is egypt theme. I will consider any ancient art representation from any ancient culture. If you wish to do double duty with dragon's permission. I would accept that but I do not wish to intrude upon her challenge. so I will only include egypt submissions if dragon consents. submissions will be accepted until 4/19 because I will be on vacation after that until may and far from the internet. Yih hah!!

I have no problems with anything Egyptian showing up here as well as my challenge so post away. I think this is a great idea for a mugdots challenge and I'm looking forward to contributing.

Here's one of my own from Egypt.

no worries then! gracious dragon has included egypt in our challenge as well as contributed a lovely work of her own. create away my artistic friends. ancient art, as badur has so charmingly pointed out includes song an dance as well as buildings/structures, figures, graphic art, etc. only criteria must be before 1800 and preferably earlier than that. egypt is welcome, minoan, indian, chinese, african, south american, or anything else associated with ancient times/cultures

Something huge and ancient which we still have no idea of what the purpose is, but I think it qualifies as art.

(Also qualifies as extremly frustrating - the tail feathers were supposed to be perfectly straight but it was beyond my abilities to do in candy what the ancient Peruvians did in hundreds of square feet of desert!)

you are all making this tough on me . that is why I like this theme, it helps us appreciate what has been done before. often with tools as limited as ours, or even more limited.
