My favorite is Flowers because I think you can do very pretty things with them. (Yea, put your reason too)

Luna

I like animals because you can do realistic drawings. Flowers is my 2nd favorite.

Yea, animals are cool. I like how you can use the different skin to make people.

I think Animals is my favorite too, I love all the different textures and colours. I think Candy is my second favorite because it has so many colours and nice round pieces.

hmmm... not all that easy a question!

'Animals' definitely gives me more control of shapes, colors, edges... so if I'm doing something demanding that way, it's my choice (and almost half of my pictures are done in it - I just counted!)

'Flowers' has such a joyous range of hues that I always think of it first!

'Candy' is bright too, but doesn't offer much modulation, and I find the shapes too rigid.

'Gothic' is strangely easy to sketch with. I really like it! Pity it doesn't offer more colors.

'Fruit' has some strong vibrant colors but somehow I manage to muddy 'em. I'm still trying to use it well.

'Faces' paralyzes me. I've seen people use it well, and to great effect for clever little characters --DMarla does the most gorgeous birds in it!-- but I just can't seem to "think" in it.

I agree with you Qsilv. Although, I can never make anything decent with animals. I don't know why. Also candy doesn't have much of a range of what you can do with it, at least for me. So, you vote animals?

My favorite has changed over time.... when i first started it was flowers, like heather_e1 said it was so pretty.... but then animals was introduced and well I started doing more realistic looking things. but now i'm kinda burned out with animals so right now it's Candy, the colors are so vibrant and they are beautiful for landscape pics.... and the occasional candy cottage. I like doing cartoon characters with faces but thats just me messing around. and i dont really like gothic

Yea, I've done a few things with gothic, but it's too gloomy for me.

Faces is easiest for me but it is limiting. I found someone else's work in faces that I'm keeping my eye on. Check these out:

I like animals because I can do faces and there are so many colors or textures to choose from.

I find I can do nothing much with fruit. I use to feel the same way about candy but that is now easier. Goth is fun but I'm not as comfortable with it. I also wish goth had more colors and was less dark.

Once upon a time, Candy was it!!! Well, dove into Animals, liked that alot. More diverse. Hated Gothic with a passion! Now, I'm comfortable with it and using it more. Of the choices mine would be Animals. I would love a bit color with it. As for Gothic one or two eye-popping colors would really give it some life. Gothic is a real challenge.

Gothic sooo does not have to be gloomy! It offers two things to consider carefully--
1- the ability to build your own shape solid background in powerfu, dark but RICH tones (royal purple & indigo)
2- those pointy ends on the arches can be used to give a pencil sketch-like feeling.

Here are an undeniably perky sled-dog, and a billowy bouquet in sparkly cut glass:

Well I guess you proved me wrong! That dog is so cute, and cuddly looking, and the vase is so pretty!

It is a challenge though, like Kmkagle said.

...I like to dabble in all of the mediums... I am not as good with animals as others are, but I do like it quite a lot... Whenever I find myself wanting to do anything of substance, I always seem to turn to flowers 1st...

...Candy still drives me mad to this day, but I will beat it... or so I keep telling myself...

mine is animals because it has the biggest variety of colors and shapes. To me the others either have the variety of colors (candy, flowers) OR shapes (gothic).

My second fav. is probably flowers because with most pieces you have full or part rotation for the same piece, that makes "shaping" and smooth lines much easier.

I find candy lovely in colors, but hard to work with for shapes, although my "hide and seek" was fun and I was happy with the result.

In gothic I also find the colors too dark, the "love potion #9" was a statisfying result, as well, but I think a nice, bloody red would go very well in that theme, and "brighten" things up a bit.

Faces is something I haven't had any success with yet.

And fruit...I liked my "barber of seville" a lot, that was a lot of fun to do, but for whatever reason I never end up in fruit. I'll have to make a point sometime soon to specifically try my hand at a picture there.
