I am quite ecstatic that Triste commandeeered the Dr Bear Storyline, this should be quite interesting.
How many of my faithful listeners grew up on Dr Bear stories?

I would like to postpone my answer till the "grew up" thing occurs...

I don't comment much, Baldur, but I'm delighted with your Radio Baldur. Quirky, down to earth, and just plain fun. Your cooking and gardening endeavors are good reads.

Thank you sheftali52, it originally was only a stopgap while the site was not working properly, but my inner talkshow host got a bit out of control.

I like your "inner talkshow host" being "a bit out of control", Baldur.

I missed Radio Baldur originally, 'cause I gave up on Think Draw in frustration at the problems.. but I've loved reading the show since then - sort of delayed broadcast !

Radio Baldur and Baldur himself actually, will be away from ThinkDraw for a couple days until the Bible school aspect of ThinkDraw subsides to its normal levels again.
I hope you all have marvelous holidays.
In the meantime I need to watch the vegetable garden closely, the satyrs love to eat the baby greens as they come up.

...I didn't know it was so easy to get under your skin...

...Looking at your self portrait, I thought I saw thicker skin...

...I must use this information to my advantage...

Darn those Satyrs!! I think the Fauns bear watching as well.

And now for something completely different, and as close to a religious drawing as you'll get out of Baldur for Easter

Here are the Primrose Mute Singers with their rendition of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah':

Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew ya
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do you?
And remember when I moved in you?
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who'd OUT DREW YA
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah <<(held for a long time)
Hallelujah

Thank you PMS that was beautiful, and matthew your interpretive dance added so much to the experience. I didn't know it was possible to wear Marshmallow Peeps

In a future broadcast we will show the top ten entries in the 'Design a Huge Tasteless Tattoo that Rivals Baldur's for matthew's Back' contest.
Keep those entries rolling in.

I'd also at this time to apologize to 1020.
In another forum I implied that she was blonde with a glowing red demonic eye and tentacles. Anyone who is a regular listener to my talk show will know that I only use such glowing terms for my closest friends. Besides which she may not even be a blonde.

Now lets do a piece of origami. This is one of my favorites.

Take a 24 centimeter square of paper that has a kiwifruit print on one side and a pineapple foliage print on the reverse.
Place it on the table in front of you with the kiwifruit facing upward.
Fold it here, and here. Bring both upper corners down to here.
Gently crease the paper and unfold this edge. Now while holding this pocket open with one hand, pleat this side and take all the pleats and insert them into the opening. Fold the entire piece again precisely 1/3 of the way down from the top edge.
Unfold the top 3 pleats and fan then open in a gentle cascade.
You now have an origami Gila monster!

Baldur

once again you've been listening to Radio Baldur, 'All Baldur, All the Time'

157. 14 Apr 2009 20:20

matthew

Sigh... Mine looks nothing like a Gila monster...

...More like Al Franken...

...Where did I go wrong?

158. 14 Apr 2009 20:27

Baldur

did you pleat left to right or right to left?

159. 14 Apr 2009 20:31

matthew

If I came up with Al Franken, I must have been pleating far left...

160. 14 Apr 2009 20:37

Baldur

When I intentionally do Al Franken origami I like to use thin cardboard from an old Velveeta carton
