I have always wanted to live here between the mountains, and the sea, earthquakes be darned. There was always something getting in the way, but now there isn't. All I have to do is get rid of 99% of my belongings, sell my house and go west. I wonder if I can do it.

Earthquakes are way over-rated for drama. (I grew up with 'em, so I get to make silly comments like this, but it's true!)

More to the point, if/when you make this move, what will you keep then as a treasured yearning on your horizon?

It's sooo easy to say, "Oh of course you can" but yes, you absolutely can if you're determined enough. You'll find ways to make it work, and that'll be part of the adventure!

Thank you for the encouragement, Q. Someone said - "I hope you have a life you are proud of, and if you haven't, I hope you have the courage to start over." It's not that I am ashamed of my life, but I am in a rut, and need to write another chapter.

I know what you mean Lizzi. I promised myself that 2016 was going to be THE year. Good luck to you!

And to you, Indigo! I will never be any younger than I am right now, so I must make a change while I still can. Time to start enjoying my "golden years" while I am in between operations! ^)^

Hope you find what you are seeking! Be sure to keep us up to date. The getting rid of 99% makes me envious, as I'm already too lethargic to do that. AND facing doing that for the elderly aunt we got moved into an elder care facility. Vancouver is such an attractive destination! Best wishes for your dream.
