There is an active Challenge CXXVII currently running.

The CXXVII - RED & GREEN challenge is the MUGDOTS challenge. This is different. Because of the time period since September the number of the challenges have caught up with each other. I have noticed that most of the Mugdot Challenges give the Roman numeral but also the numbers in parenthesis as (127). This challenge has no given name, only Roman Numerals, except for the actual challenge. IE: Challenge CXXVI - Summer Storms. Hope that explains the difference.

Wow. I've been here how long and never realized that there was another challenge?!?!? Shut my mouth. I was just looking back and noticed at one point there was also a Wednesday event. There must have been a real large number of people here at one point, just based upon looking at past. Ok. just to summarize. There is general gallery drawing, the monthly Showcase, Mugdot challenge, a Roman numeral numbered challenge, FT Fun Tuesday, and the new Friday FAF Free Association Friday. Am I missing anything?

Many TDers set challenges in past; but just two of them still go on, the "challenge", and the "Mugdots Challenge" (from the nam of an old TDer). Both have the roman numerals, but at one point someone added the number in parentesis for helping people who don't knew roman numerals (we had some mess in past for this reason).
The showcase has a variable duration, and so the challenges.
You sumarizede well the current challenges. there ehere other challenges in past, the most interesting was in a time before I was here, and was the "guess the artist" challenge. There was a "public" profile, created for this challenge, whose password was public, and every artist could login and draw anonimously. The other TDers would eventually guess who did the picture. This profile was also used for collective drawing, every artist doing a bit of the picture and saving it, leaving the profile for another TDer to continue the drawing.
Unfortunately that profile was used improperly for self-voting or nastier things, so the whole thing was abandoned.

Hi All
First my apologies for not taking up KathyAllHearts challenge. Sadly last year life decided to throw me some unexpected curve balls that needed to be sorted, so unfortunately I had neither the time nor the inclination to be creative, hense the reason why I went suddenly AWOL. As I am now seeing the "light at the end of the tunnel" I will make that the name of a new challenge. It can be literal or anything else that fits with the title
