Just had a thought as I was deciding to give my daughter the Shel Silverstein book called RUNNY BABBIT, in hopes that Grandgirl would eventuall appreciate the humor...
Why not try a Fun Tuesday of Spoonerisms, so-called after an Oxford don whose brain and mouth were often out of sync. I believe mixing the ends or even middles of words qualifies as well as the beginnings. For instance RANCID TRAPPIT for city transportation. Dr. Spooner was known for asking, Is the BEAN DIZZY?" I feel sure the kind of thinking in evidence on TD would bring up many great ideas for this variety of fun!

We could draw the Spoonerism itself (DIZZY BEAN) or just draw what
is meant with the Spoonerism as title.

This is an interesting challenge. Let me put on my Thinking Cap. Tuesday comes around fast.

I was thinking about topics for FT and I think that "Guess that tune" would be a fun topic. If no one guesses the tune, the artist should post the tune on Wed. I was playing around with it and have one ready if you are interested....or I can clear the pallet.

I am not sure I could draw a spoonerism, but I CAN draw a pic that represents a tune. Can you guess it? http://www.thinkdraw.com/picture.php?pictureId=205087

No sense wasting two ideas on one Tuesday!
I've got 2 Spoonerisms ready to go, but if Katidid wants to start her Tunes
idea, they can wait until next week.

I am braindead, so as usual I turn to Old Faithful>>.google. For those who need a muse (there's a good one!), here it is.

Where is Angela? This would be right up her alley, no?

That was so much fun, I want to do it again. Not right now, but soon. Now that Normal got us started, I can't stop thinking "How could I draw that one?"

I see no "FT" started today, am I supposed to be doing this?

213. 26 Aug 2014 09:02

Lizzi

At the moment, I see no FT in the gallery, which means that anyone who has an idea should go ahead and start. It's always wide open that way. You should post your topic here and explain it so we all know what is meant.

OK, thank you Lizzi.

I thought we could do "Guess that song". The picture should represent the song title or the first line of the song. An example is as follows.

I had fun with that and I think some of you did as well. Thank you all for playing!

I've never gotten it right where you are suppost to post ideas for FT, but just redirect me if I have it wrong.... ideas:

1) guess the fast food food
2) things that break
3) things found in a junk drawer/closet
4) seeing red (just like black and white only either black and red, or white and red)
5) seen from above - looking down on familiar side viewed objects

I wouldn't mind (4) Seeing Red.... that's my vote. *J*
