bhughes -- don't be sorry. Because Rachel et al do scan through 'Feedback', it's actually a good place to have put this type of question and stated your preference for being able to see the number of votes and faves as the default labeling in your gallery.

Chinky's stated the current situation quite clearly, I think.

I'll add that when you go to "My Picture Gallery" you can click the "Order" windowlette (and then the Go button) to choose to see them sorted AND LABELED by "Most Ratings" or "Most Favorited" (or even "Highest Rated --tho we all pretty much agree that's a waste) instead of the default "Most Recent".

Most ratings is based off the number of votes. Top rated or Highest rated is based off the most 5 star votes. If you have a drawing with 15 votes and a star ratio is 4.3, and you have another drawing with 1 vote with a star ratio of 5.0. The one voted drawing has the higher rate, but the 15vote one has more ratings. So if you want to see where your 15vote drawing is in the highest rating list, you'll find it on page 200 or so cause all those 1voted 5star drawings beats yours.
