Not fun! Have you tried a warm bath or warm milk(yuk!) some people say it works. No caffeine, alcohol or tobacco they say. Reading something light helps me...thinking happy thoughts past, present and future.

Oh Robin, not another sleepless night! Hope you fare better tonight. This must be getting very old.

Thanks for suggestions, friends. I have tried it all. It's just this night shift causing the grief. I need to switch to days.

I too have insomnia, and the last few months have been pretty good. I have 2 Tbs of honey everynight before bed. Has been helping me!!

My sleep specialist (and I swear he's a wizard too) suggested 3mg of Melatonin every night at 9pm. I'd tried it before but just 1mg and had no success. This seems to get me ready to sleep w/in an hour and no hangover.

Having an erratic sleep cycle is very hard on a body and almost impossible to live with for any amount of time, I know I've been there. I’m so sorry you are not getting the rest you need.

I've been up for 40 - 60 hrs at a numerous times in the last several months but this and having a regular wake up time has almost got it licked.

solo, I tried the melatonin...gave me weird nightmares for some reason. Even benadryl gives me a hangover, so I don't take meds. I haven't tried honey, though, so might give that a shot, Lilalee! You guys are kind to feel my pain, though. Thanks!
