Hi Puzzler,
I began by covering the area with colour (yellow in this case - the best solid yellow is one of the two upper petals). Next I used one of the twigs to form the upper left corner which is 'cropped' to size by overlaying another petal. The curve is fomed by multiple twigs placed next to each other following the line of the curve which are then 'cropped' using blue petals to form a line. The letters inside are formed the same way, a vertical twig, for instance, placed on the yellow which is then 'cropped' to length using a yellow petal, followed by a horizontal twig at the top and another below, both 'cropped to width using a yellow petal will form an 'F'. It reads far more complicated than it is to do. All you need to do is work logically across and anticipate where new letters will overlap any work you've already done. I hope you can see from the example I put on TD that any writing is possible, even cursive. I often use this technique to add lines under eyes or shading around noses. I haven't really explained it very well but I hope this helps with future projects. Regards, Grahame.

Thanks for this, much appreciated. I'm going to experiment with it now. Will post a pic if I get it right!
