I know this is silly, but I did a little drawing yesterday called "Changes of Latitute" (misspelled on purpose) that was in the gallery, but now is gone. No big deal as it wasn't exactly museum quality. It shows up in a search by title, and it shows up in my picture gallery. It was a geometric play, so it couldn't have offended anyone.

It's been a whileHas anyone else had this happen? Thanks!

Please excuse the typos. The last sentence is supposed to read: Has anyone else had this happen?

Hi LadyO. The new picture gallery format allows only the most recent picture drawn by an artist. To access the old gallery format, go "My Picture Gallery" and search "all" pictures. You have to scroll back a few pages, but your picture is still there.

Thanks. I thought I was losing my mind! LOL! Guess I'll do just one picture at a time for a while to give the other one a chance to be seen.

mm-hm. Don't know if that was actually their intention, like to slow down traffic?

But with the advent of the new gallery, even when I can steal the time I'm reluctant to get into doing any little flurry of drawings.

pfft... how mortifying. I guess there really was an element of showing-off after all, tho it felt like sharing.

Now when a neat theme comes along and ideas flood my mind, I may still do a few tiny pencil sketches but then... well I just tuck them away in a paper folder and don't get back to them... .

I miss that original gallery approach.

Me too Q since i tend to draw in spurts. Mostly i have given up pics necessarily being seen by as many people as might have seen them before...

I never thought in that way - slowling the spurts of drawing for a better chance to be in the gallery!
I prefer not to trouble my mind with such dilemmas
If I'm ispired, I draw. And if the latter pic kitchs off the former, well, if it is appreciates, then people will go to a closer view, will open the pic and - voilà! will see all the other previos six pictures.
Not a big issue for me

"Latter pic kicks off the former" - It happened twice with my hard troubled suffered little masterpieces. Does it happened when you admit two pictures directly one after another in the same pallet or is it the norm to kick the first one back to your own gallery. Sometimes I keep one on ice, then realise I need that pallet, don't want to delete it, just to loose it on the main gallery. Sometimes there are 3-4 pictures in a row, especially from the new younger members. Ain't there a way to get that pic back a day or so later??

It turns out that the "Gallery" is really just that, a kind of special interest show rather than an ongoing index...
...and the special interest is the MOST recent picture of EACH artist.

The way to look through ALL the pictures is through your own "My Picture Gallery" (which really is an index... and/or a search engine).

When you first click on it, it automatically is set to show you all your own pictures, from most recent back to oldest.

You make it be an index of all entries by just changing ONE setting...
along the top of the pale blue background are 4 pull-down menus --
Show:_____ Theme:_____ Order:_____ Time:_____
...change Show"_____ from "My Pictures" to "All Pictures".

What's weird is that even after all these months, I still click first on the Gallery listed up at the top of the page between Draw and Top 5. That feels like a public meeting place somehow, and the My Picture Gallery feels like a secluded window. You'd think by now I'd have formed the habit of fixing the setting in My Picture Gallery and I'd be reading through it each morning like the daily news, wouldn't you?? ;>

Thank you, Qsilv. I wonder how many people know about this "long way round" and actually use it. I use it only if I need something specific to check on because of all the options. Yes, the Gallery and Showcase is theeee meeting place where you expect to "meet" your friends just to find some of them gone "home" prematurely. But let us be grateful for what we have on ThinkDraw and enjoy it!!!
