I did not see a leaving of TD meant to be a goal for itself!

I can understand the purpose and can imagine the value of the system. Meanwhile I became "an affiliated member" - more or less. TD is really a great system and you may be proud of it!
Well, I saw the goal in "getting more closer to a whole" and you have shown you are doing on this "job". On this way. TD in fact is more than a supporting system "for get it sorted out". But: it has to remain a supporting system and not to end in a "producing new artists" systems by itself.

I only can tell, what I see - from distance - and I can see a possible problem coming, a possible obstacle for getting more closer to a whole, IF the rules of the system (not really the maintenance, but the rules) are getting too large and too complex, so that the system! would need! the many artists. This would be the opposite, of what it should do!!

Example: There are a number of "themes" for the top 5. This rule needs an amount of pictures each month to be shown there. Ok, there are "many artists", being able to create beautiful pictures in a short time. But: if they are doing this only to fulfill the rules, then the system will be the driver.

Therefore I see it as an important matter, WHITCH kind of improvements of the systems are made. The rules have to match to the goal, and the goal is "getting more closer".
I hope, I could express my considerations understandable.

The way I see it is that anyone can be a part of ThinkDraw and anyone can get enormous pleasure from it - not just from the drawing, but also from the really great friendship that exists amongst TD members.

I also believe that many people have found a new love for art / drawing / painting after being on ThinkDraw - and I think that this includes many people who never considered themselves as 'artists' before.

I think that the rules for the Top 5 are now brilliant - so much better than before. Anyone who captures the TD public's imagination can get into the Top 5 - and I'm always surprised how quickly people latch onto a great new pic by an unknown artist !

I think quite a lot of us are competitive, in that we really love to create a picture that our fellow TDers think is good - and when we do, the feeling is wonderful !

So.. in terms of new artists - yes, I think TD has spawned a few brilliant new ones, but I'm afraid that I don't understand your comments about the goal being to 'get closer to a whole' ?

(vielleicht wäre es deutlicher auf Deutsch ?)

I love the white stars in (the upper lefthand column of parts), especially since they can be reduced to quite a small size which will give either fine dots or lines.
Can you add a 'negative' one? ... black star(s)
