Okay, the time is up (actually, sorry about a little delay...!).
Thank you all for your participation and cooperation to create this gallery.
It was in my mind for a long time and we now have the gallery of all dancers together!
I'd like to keep adding all the oldies as well as new ones and hope you all can help it out!

Meanwhile it's time to pass the baton to the next.

Since I am fairly new to TD, I dont know how the whole Challenge system works. I assume passing the baton means I get to choose and judge the next challenge theme which i think would be challenge LXXXVII? After that I'm clueless...How long does it usually last, what are the rules, how do i judge, whats the criteria???

Hi there, makimakifish --and congratulations!

The community "Challenge" and its companion “Mugdots” have quite a long history here, and they've held up well pretty much the way they were started by DMarcella... no winners, not contests per se… the TD Showcase is a real contest, with voting.

"Mugdots" and "Challenge" both are just pure challenges, invitations to play around with some concept purely at the whim of the host.

A few have become so popular that they’ve transitioned into galleries that keep getting added to. This Dance one will almost certainly do that.

Each host gets to decide quite arbitrarily---
- a THEME This can be a subject, like Dance, or a technique, or way of seeing or…. The biggest trick nowadays is trying not to repeat something that’s been done before (tho’ even that’s fine if you can spin some variation on it!)
- any RULES there will be (good luck with that! lol… we’re a notoriously disobedient lot)
- ENDING DATE (typically a week to 10 days, kind of depending on other things going on in their own life and in TD and the world at large)
- who will be the NEXT HOST. Generally we choose based on artists who actually followed those “rules” we set, or at least made our hearts sing with how they broke ‘em, and of course we do try to keep spreading the job around among people we figure can deal with it and have fun themselves!
