The thing is.. EVERYONE (even what we reckon are the greats) are drawing under EXACTLY the same conditions.. and we all suffer the same frustrations.. but that's a challenge in itself.

My wish for a new category would be 'GEOMETRICAL SHAPES' (with some whites, greys and soft edges included), but everybody's different !

(and, like everyone else, I've lost hours & hours of painstaking attention to detail !)

Wow! Rotate? Copy/paste? Save Draft? Geometric shapes? Soft edges?

I'd love ALL of that!

But wait! I have it. It's called Photoshop. Heehee...

The Save Draft is my only REAL request.

One more - some kid of "Sprinkle" or "Drop" function. This would work like "Repeat" but would click the next shape right into your mouse icon without having to go back for another. The you could drag it off the canvas or click and drag it wherever to use it again.

I'm getting carpel tunnel syndrome with the tiling by all the back and forth.

Firstly Qsilv - definitely not a monster! We had no idea that people would do such incredible pictures let alone build such a supportive community on Think Draw as well.

Secondly, our sincere apologies to anyone that has lost work or time spent creating pictures. We have definitely got the message - expect a 'Save Draft' feature soon...

Ron, if you are interested in creating a catergory/theme its best to contact rachel via the feedback. i believe she has kept a record of all the suggested themes people have sent her with animals previously bieng the most popular one. the work itself can be done in photoshop.

speaking of photoshop, you made an excellent point about adding features. if thinkdraw continually upgrades and adds more and more bells and whistles, it will lose much of its unique qualities and become a poor mans photoshop. having said that, the recently added "repeat" button was genius and a "save" function would be excellent.

so speaking of saving, i too have lost hours and hours of work before submitting. however, i put this down to a poor internet connection. if the connection is fine, there should be no problems. sadly my internet has been rubbish for a while and so prevented me from producing any time consuming pictures. time to get that fixed i think.

lastly a hearty to welcome to you personally, its always great to get another addict with passion onto the site.

Hey likemee - you mean I'm a genius?!! Do I get an oscar or something? Seriously, a save as you go feature would be fantastic. I lost a completed pic the other night when in my tired state, I hit the back button instead of the submit!

I was just reading this thread... i too have though rotate would be awesome, but i agree with someone else who said that if we had rotate, what would the challenge be? Not being able to turn the top of the cow's head around to get a rounded bottom piece of white means you have to think. And that's frustrating at times, but challenging too. So while it would be great in terms of ease, it would also take a lot of the "think" out of thinkdraw.

I love this site and the community here is really cool. So many times i've wished for a slightly smaller size on the pieces.
coins would be interesting as a theme
and i think lego- type blocks would be fun

sootyunicorn

Hi. I'm new to this site, and so far have really enjoyed it. Is there a way to put the same item on the page over and over again without clicking and dragging it again and again? For example, if I wanted to put 100 yellow petals on a page, is there a way to have a sort of "stamp" like in Photoshop?

Thanks for your help!

Sootyunicorn, there is a 'repeat' button to the left of the drawing area. Click on it to turn it on. If you have already done that, then clicking and dragging is as good as it gets ... which is great.

i think you would appreciate the repeat button a lot more if you were here pre-repeat button

sooty: This is what I was trying to describe earlier. Not just a repeat function but a stamp function. Yeppers - second-best request since Save Draft!
